New training workshop on “Statistical data analysis” has been conducted

Within the framework of UNDP funded “Statistical Capacity Building for MDG Monitoring and Reporting” Project has been organized training workshop on «Statistical data analysis - SDA» during the period of April 22-24, 2009 at the hotel "Plaza Lux" in Andijan.

The target audience of above mentioned workshop was mid-level policy advisors of local authorities, including regional departments of the Ministry of Economy and the State Committee on Statistics in Andijan, Ferghana and Namangan oblasts.

Training on SDA was intended to train representatives from partner government agencies in application of modern methodologies and instruments of statistical data analysis in their day-to-day activities, as well as to improve their knowledge and skills on evidence-based policy-advice, including monitoring of MDG-related policies at regional level. The next two training workshops is planning to organize in Samarkand and Bukhara.
